Kirsten is a cross-border estate lawyer at Polaris Tax Counsel where she focuses on estate planning and estate administration for clients with cross-border ties.

Kirsten has over 15 years of experience working with individuals and families to create personalized estate plans, including the preparation of wills, powers of attorney, healthcare representation agreements and trusts. Her clients include US citizens in Canada, Canadians with assets or beneficiaries in the United States, and non-residents who own BC-situs property.

In her estate administration practice, Kirsten advises executors and personal representatives at every stage of the estate settlement process, from applying for the grant of probate through to final distribution. She enjoys helping clients navigate the complexities of estate administration involving international elements, including estates with foreign assets or beneficiaries, and regularly assists non-resident executors with bringing foreign grants into British Columbia.

Kirsten is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (TEP). She has previously acted as an instructor for the Continuing Legal Education Society of BC in the areas of will drafting, estate planning and estate administration.
